The Ouagadougou Health and Demographic Surveillance System – OUAGA HDSS
Access to the platform
1. Researchers/program managers wishing to conduct a study or an intervention at the Ouagadougou Health and Demographic Surveillance System submit a project plan to the manager of the OUAGA HDSS. The project’s objectives must be a part of the OUAGA HDSS’s research objectives (see Research). The project must also meet scientific standards; for an intervention, this means that the evaluation of the intervention must meet scientific standards. Initiators are encouraged to include one or two researchers from the ISSP in the project.
2. All data collection during the course of the projects will be carried out by the staff of the OUAGA HDSS or by employees recruited by the OUAGA HDSS, who will work under them. The implementation of the interventions can be performed by the staff of the OUAGA HDSS and/or the project’s initiators and/or third party structures.
3. Calculating the budget of an evaluation or study in the OUAGA HDSS will be done in the following way.
